VISION
VISION (Vital Information System to Improve Outcomes in Nephrology) is a software program provided by CMS to independent dialysis facilities as a way of entering and transmitting electronically required information and forms to the Networks.
With VISION, patient information can be sent via HIPAA-compliant, secured connection to the Network for real-time entry into the CMS database for ESRD patients.
Because CMS is currently developing new web-based data-submission software that will be available to all facilities within the next few years, VISION is no longer being offered to those not already using it. Information about the CROWN web system will be shared with facilities as it becomes available from CMS.
